How to solve transparency TpR-TpE glue Problems of granule agglomeration
Transparent TpR-TpE glue thermoplastic elastomer is safe and non-toxic. The hardness of TpR-TpE glue thermoplastic elastomer varies during processing depending on the materials and related mixtures used, and the coloring performance is also good. In production, products as needed can also be produced, and the colors can meet various needs. Moreover, the feel is relatively soft, it is pressure-resistant and fatigue-resistant, and the high and low temperature durability is also good. The processing performance is also excellent, and the processing operation is relatively simple, saving many complex production processes of similar products. And because it can be recycled, it also saves a lot of costs. Transparent TpR-TpE glue thermoplastic elastomer, environmentally friendly and recyclable!
Reasons for the agglomeration and adhesion of transparent TpR-TpE glue materials:
1. High oil content. Sometimes, a sufficient proportion of oil is needed in the SEBS/SBS blend system to produce super-soft and super-hard products, but the oil itself is viscous, and the greater the proportion of oil, the greater the possibility of sedimentation (oil spitting), leading to agglomeration of transparent granules.
2. Insufficient granule cooling. The high temperature and high viscosity of the oil in the mixing system lead to granule adhesion. Therefore, agglomeration is more likely to occur in summer.
Transparent TpR-TpE glue material cohesive liquid. After granulation, the granules should be fully cooled. It is recommended that the surface temperature of the granules be below 30℃ before packaging. Adding functional additives can weaken the surface viscosity between granules and enhance the smoothness of the granule surface, especially for super-soft TpR-TpE glue transparent materials.
Precautions for transparent TpR-TpE glue:
Generally speaking, transparent TPR with an SBS substrate is more prone to granule agglomeration than transparent TPE with an SEBS substrate, because SBS does not have as good oil-locking properties as SEBS. In hot summers, injection molding factories should pay attention to storing material granules, especially transparent TpR-TpE glue materials, in a cool place. If conditions permit, air conditioning can be installed. For the finished products (especially TPR materials), each finished product should not be in direct contact with the packaging during storage, and should not be stacked to avoid affecting the quality of product adhesion.
For the export of transparent TpR-TpE glue products (such as toys), attention should be paid to the possible container temperatures during cargo transportation (the container temperature will gradually increase during transportation due to heat storage, sometimes reaching 60~70℃), and expected preventive measures should be taken. Use insulated cabinets if necessary. In summer, TPR with a hardness below 50A is prone to granule agglomeration and adhesion, while TPE with a hardness below 20A is prone to granule agglomeration. For the problem of granule agglomeration that may occur in opaque TPR materials, some anti-caking agents can be added before granule packaging to improve the agglomeration problem.
